is there a way to force image-rendering: pixelated but only on images rendering at a higher resolution than expected? because cubic interpolation sucks for blown up images while no interpolation sucks for shrunk down images aaaa computers are hell

most of the people who know me for running snowdin are themselves former users of that instance
i was an extremely active poster for one year, never above 200 followers, then i made snowdin, then i left fedi for half a year and now i. have connections to everyone while being relatively low profile
i'm not complaining this is great it's just a weird position
