Actually, the benefit of the Knife Missile is that it's a "less lethal" weapon, comparable to pepper spray, tasers and bean rounds.

While the standard hellfire missile has a lethality of ~5000% (~50 people), the knive missile's lethality is only about 600% (~6 people).
