i wanna look into gemini, it seems interesting but... idk . i get the appeal to want simpler text based interaction, its cool. a comment on that post said it could make user defined styles universal for every site, which would be awesome. but yeah the problems pointed out are eh. its a neat small thing tho .

i get the point of that, not having to rely on certificate authorities, but wow is that a security risk .

@eris@akkoma.meows.gay yeah the reliance on tofu isn't great especially when some sites rotate their self signed certs so you have no option except to ignore the warnings
