@ellie @angea Nova launcher is an app that acts as an alternative home screen for Android that has existed basically as long as Android has. It aims to be close to the "stock" experience (if the stock experience even exists anymore) with more features and configurability.

Nova is super easy to install and I highly recommend it.

LineageOS is an alternative build of Android made by hobbyists. It also aims to provide an experience close to stock Android and can be flashed on certain phones including most Xiaomi models (beware installing Linage is a highly involved process that will wipe your phone and has the potential to soft brick it)
