7 minutes later they are there. they unlock the car door. I go in.

they take me on the freeway to somewhere I've never been before on the other side of the city. they park in the corner of a random empty parking lot, that's massive. everything has become french. there is no more english.

we wait a couple minutes in the car, doing nothing, before one of them announced to me, "good news! we're taking puppy for a walk and not secretly taking them to the vet!
