@aprilmaejune cmd/go is way too silent with no helpful verbosity options, it's also Extremely slow when not using GOPROXY, which is just a cache for every package ever even if it no longer exists which makes for horrible bitrot, GOTELEMETRY is what it sounds like and it's on by default

i really like the Idea of go. gold-standard stdlib, decentralized distributed package management, syntax that feels rightish for me, but oh my god i can't with this toolchain and with the "core go tool considered harmful" every other month
