my computer came with McAfee and when I saw it I immediately uninstalled it

I had one of those once that popped up and was like "You are not protected!" It was very much taking a fearmongering approach, but that's their whole business model.

Only reason I had McAfee installed was because the PC came with 1 year of McAfee so I figured I may as well use the included year of coverage. I did use the included year, then I promptly uninstalled as soon as it give me the first FUD advert.

I hate it so much.

So I'm right there with you.
