- gold standard stdlib
- decentralized package management
- syntax that works for me

but then
- go cli having opt out telemetry
- GOPROXY literally breaking the ecosystem
- cmd/go being too silent with no intent from developers to make it output any more data
- go's general stubbornness when it comes to anything quality of life. like it took them twelve years to seed random on startup

they should fork go out of google's hands and ban russ cox from touching it then itll be good
