okay, ive put it off too long and it's biting me in the ass. i need to write this post. we need help.

my disabled spouse and i are two trans people stuck in a red state, indiana, trying to survive. ive been unemployed for over a year after being fired when my transness became obvious. i have multiple degrees and a decade of dev experience, im searching every day, but remote jobs are few and highly competitive and no one local wants to hire a trans.

so im asking for two things:
• help us keep our housing. rent approaches, as well as other non-optional housing-related bills, and we have no income now that unemployment has run out. we are pursuing other means than just mutual aid, and any proceeds from that will be subtracted from our goal. right now the goal is $1500.
• if your company hires fully remote software developers and you have decent influence toward landing me an interview, i want to know about it. i have a decade of dev experience, full stack, mostly in php/js with laravel and angular but as a full stack engineer im familiar with the typical tools of the trade, have encountered and used quite a variety of languages, and pick up new tech stacks very quickly. if your team understands that, im ready to jump in headfirst, no matter your stack. i have team leadership and project planning/leading experience from the last several years as a senior dev and in a mentor role before that. so yeah. send me your remote developer jobs if i sound good to you and you can help me.
